Japan is comparably expensive to live in compared with most European countries. However there are many unexpected administrative costs that can set you back some money.

Q: How do you deal with cultural differences ?

I dealt with the culture gap by doing research on the cultural norms of Japan before arriving in the country. You can deal with many of the cultural differences simply by showing respect and an open-minded attitude for the unique aspects of Japanese culture.

The administrative procedure in Japan is generally overcomplicated, time-consuming, and costly. Unfortunately this is something every Japanese and foreign traveller has to deal with. Lucky the procedures are usually straightforward and logical and so can be overcome with some due diligence.
